a few weekends ago dekel’s friend ofek came into dallas from israel for a night. he came with his g/f to specifically see a UFC fight before going on to visit vegas, san francisco, some national parks and then new york but we wanted to meet up with them and take them to enjoy some good ‘ol texas bbq for the one afternoon they were here so we went to lockhart smokehouse in bishop arts district & it did not disappoint!
we obviously ordered a little of everything for them to try, but the brisket was by faarrr everyone’s favorite. after eating & chatting for a bit we walked down to espumoso cafe for hot chocolate and lattes before parting ways. it was so nice to be submerged into hebrew conversation again (my first blog post after having moved to israel here!), they spoke fluent english so we would toggle back & forth between languages but it was refreshing to have hebrew conversations about topics all over the place. as fluent as i am, i’m always learning new words and expressions, it was nice to see them & catch up.
i wore this beautiful maxi dress from buffalo exchange for the outing with a jean jacket because it was kind of dreary & drizzly, it fits over my bump perfectly and i can’t wait to wear it belted once i have baby boy!
