we recently moved atlas from his nursery (which i posted about here!) into a different room in our house that has a bit more space & an actual closet for more storage. i wanted to create a toddler room with a reading nook for us to be able to play, read and hang out in there because his nursery felt so “baby” and we will need that room eventually for baby #2 anyways!
i was kinda nervous about transitioning him into a different room thinking he would be confused or not sleep well (even though he’s still in his crib) but he loves it & is not phased by the change at all! the walls in the room were blank (painted gray screen from sherwin williams) and instead of just hanging wall art, i decided to paint (with the help of dek, of course!) a mountain mural inspired by this one i found on pinterest. atlas will be 2 in october and is not potty trained yet (we’re kiiiiinnnd of working on making him aware of it at this point so we have a ways to go!) but that just means that i wanted a dresser in his closet to be used as a changing station. we got this dresser (we have the same one for the baby in the nursery still) & it fits perfectly. i’m linking the products used to bring his room to life below, but if you have any questions – feel free to leave me a comment!

also: “play” poster & 16″ x 20″ black poster frame (the teal mirror is a sample sale find from at home stores from when i used to work there- but here is a similar option)

we re-did the closet because it had mirrored doors on it and they felt so constricting. i wanted the room to just be one big, open space so we took the doors off and removed the metal shelving to start over. dek installed these lights and built & stained custom wooden shelves for it too. such a nice makeover!

white dresser, “little explorer” poster & 12″ x 16″ black poster frame

this is the best chair ever, we have two of them!

this is his crib sheet (it’s so soft! currently unavailable in the oatmeal color that is pictured, but there are other pretty colors) & he loves this baby lion cub stuffed animal
