i always feel somewhat guilty for ‘teasing’ my hair to create an updo, feeling that i am in some way damaging it unnecessarily; however i created this messy side ponytail with minimum ‘teasing’ and achieved the whole look in about five minutes. i am thinking this messy side ponytail will replace my regular one =)
you will need two mini ponytail holders & a brush
sorry for the face! …but you will start with semi-brushed hair and lift the crown of your hair stright up and brush downward, teasing the underneath part, and then softly brush the top part to cover up the tease, laying your hair right back down on your head
push up the teased part of your hair & pin in place
i really wanted to enhance the ‘messy’ look so i left a few longer pieces of hair down in the front and ran my fingers through the ponytail
tightly secure the ponytail holders closest to your head for maximum holdage
